Ammonite Armor
Armor: The metal coverings formerly worn by soldiers or warriors to protect the body in battle.
Perhaps you have seen my recent interview aired on PBS Reno. In this interview I talk about how I think of jewelry as our armor for the day.
While we are long since the days of battle when traditional armor was worn, I believe we still need a sense of protection against the daily battles of life.
When you adorn yourself in the morning with pieces of jewelry that make you feel uniquely you, you set yourself up for day in which you are empowered. This is the type of armor or adornment I like to make and wear.
This piece of jewelry does just that. Made with stones that when brought together, exhibit a stronger magic.
This breastplate piece features a Pyrite carved Ammonite, Psilomelane, Moonstone and Pink Sapphire.
The piece itself measures 3” wide, complete with a handmade chain of 20.5” in length. In the photos provided, I am wearing the chain clasped shorter, which you can do as well.
