I didn’t set out to reference a particular era with this piece, but as it came together, it started to feel familiar in a way I couldn’t quite place.

There are moments in it that hint at something, maybe a line or a shape that feels like it belongs to another time, but I wasn’t pulling from anything directly. It felt more like recognizing something as I went, rather than trying to recreate it.

I tend to work this way a lot. Following instinct, adjusting as it asks to be adjusted, and stopping when it feels settled. Somewhere in that process, pieces like this seem to carry a quiet sense of memory. Not literal, not exact, just a feeling that’s been around before.

I like that it doesn’t fully belong to one place or time. It leaves room for the person wearing it to connect to it in their own way, without me defining what that should be.
